Frequently asked questions

The short answers, in one place.

The questions we get most often, answered briefly. If yours isn't here, email [email protected] — a real person reads it.

What does it cost?

Nothing, for now. Everything that is available today — the web apps, the desktop betas and all the community tools — is free. Paid plans may come later, but any change will be communicated clearly and well in advance.

Which apps can I actually use today?

Seven products are in beta today. Five desktop apps download free for Mac and Windows — SundayRec (record the service), SundayScreen (classroom screen), SundayStage (presentation), SundaySync (multicam sync) and SundayEdit (captioning) — and two web apps run in the browser: SundayInfo (info.sundaysuite.app) and SundayBooking (booking.sundaysuite.app). All the betas are gathered on the Build with us page. SundayStudio and SundayTranslate are in development; SundayPlan, SundaySong and SundayPaper are on the drawing board. Beyond the suite, eleven free community tools are live in the toolbox — icebreakers, classroom chess, tournaments, a digital bazaar and more.

Is Sunday Suite really open source?

Yes — every public Sunday repository is MIT-licensed. The code lives on GitHub, free to read, run, learn from and fork. The Sunday names and the cross-and-gold mark are trademarks, so a fork needs its own name, but the code itself is yours to use. Want to join in? Start at Build with us.

Which languages are supported?

SundayRec ships in seven languages, including Norwegian Bokmål and Nynorsk. The rest of the suite speaks English and Norwegian first, with more languages as the tools mature. This website is in English and Norwegian.

Which browsers work with the web apps?

Any modern, up-to-date browser: Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, on computer, tablet or phone. If your browser updates itself (most do), you're fine.

Who can see my church's data?

Only your church. In the web apps (SundayInfo, SundayBooking), row-level security in the database keeps every church's data separate. Content you create in the desktop apps stays on your own machine. We sell nothing and run no ads. More in Your data & privacy.

Does it work offline?

The desktop apps, yes: SundayRec records, edits and transcribes entirely on your machine, and SundayScreen is built to run with no internet at all. The web apps need a connection.

Is AI used on my data?

Local AI — like the sermon transcription in SundayRec — runs on your own machine and uploads nothing. Features that would use cloud AI sit behind a consent toggle that is off by default.

Can I delete everything?

Yes. Email us to have your Sunday account and your church's data in the web apps removed entirely. Files from the desktop apps live on your own disk — deleting them is up to you, as it should be.

How do I get help?

Email [email protected]. There is no call centre and no ticket robot — your message lands with the people building the suite, and we answer every email.
