SundayEdit
Every word gets a confidence score from the recognition model and is colour-coded. The ones the model is sure about you don't touch — you fix only the few per cent that light up amber. Tell the app what the video is about, and Whisper biases toward your names and jargon. Local and private: the video is never uploaded.
Two genuine innovations in captioning
Confidence highlighting and context priming — no one else has both.
Confidence highlighting
Colour-codes every word by certainty, so you fix only what's actually uncertain.
Context priming
Tell it what the video is about, and the model recognizes names, jargon and foreign words correctly.
Local Whisper
Speech-to-text runs on your own machine — works offline, nothing is uploaded.
Glossary
A dedicated word list for the church's names and terms, across projects.
Export to everything
Write SRT, VTT, ASS and TXT — ready for YouTube, Premiere or whatever you use.
Focus mode
Jump straight to the words below the threshold and watch your progress as you fix.
Human review at ten times the speed.
The 92% the model is sure about, you don't touch. You fix only the 8% that light up amber. That turns captioning into something you can actually finish before next Sunday.
- No competitor has confidence highlighting + context priming
- Local Whisper — the video never leaves the machine
- A standalone product, with an optional link to SundayRec
Status: beta
SundayEdit is out in beta and free to download today — the confidence editor, local Whisper transcription and export to SRT, VTT, ASS and TXT all work. A standalone product with its own brand, maturing in the open. Caption a real video and tell us where it stumbles.
Download & install notes
Mac: a universal build — works on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. The app is signed but not yet notarized, so the very first launch is right-click the app → Open.
Windows: the installer can trigger a SmartScreen notice the first time — choose More info → Run anyway.
