SundaySync
Drop in every file from the service — phones, handycams, the audio recorder on the pulpit — and SundaySync lines them all up by listening to the audio itself. No timecode, no clapperboard. Out comes one synchronized multicam timeline as FCPXML, ready to open in DaVinci Resolve. Free desktop app for Mac and Windows, fully local.
From memory cards to a cut-ready timeline
Drop everything in, press sync, open Resolve.
Audio waveform sync
Every clip is aligned by cross-correlating its audio — sample-accurate, with no clapperboard or timecode needed.
Every source, one timeline
Cameras, phones and audio recorders all land in one synchronized multicam timeline.
FCPXML for Resolve
Export an FCPXML and open it straight in DaVinci Resolve — angles named, clips placed.
ffmpeg built in
The media engine ships inside the app — nothing else to install, and a first-launch self-test proves it works.
Listen before you export
Play the synchronized sources together in the app and hear that everything lines up.
Fully local
Your footage never leaves the machine. No account, no cloud, no upload.
No timecode? No problem. The audio is the clock.
A multicam rig in a church is rarely broadcast gear — it's phones, handycams and a recorder on the pulpit, and nothing shares timecode. SundaySync listens to what every device heard and aligns them to within a few samples, the way a patient editor would by hand — in seconds.
- Sample-accurate alignment, verified against DaVinci Resolve
- Bundled ffmpeg — works on a clean machine
- Free and fully local — nothing is uploaded
Status: beta
SundaySync is out in beta on the suite's beta ring and free to download today. Sync your first service before relying on it for a deadline — and tell us how it went.
Download & install notes
Mac: Apple Silicon (M1 or newer) only for now — there is no Intel build; get in touch if you need one. The app is signed but not yet notarized, so the very first launch is right-click the app → Open.
Windows: the installer can trigger a SmartScreen notice the first time — choose More info → Run anyway.
